Chinese Elm  (Ulmus Parvifolia) By Tom Z.

Val gave me his "dragon" Chinese elm because he could no longer care for it. I spent a year getting it healthy, then I began prying in the hole in the back of the tree. It was hollow and there was an ant nest in it. I cleaned it out and found the whole interior of the tree was hollow. I started cutting out rotten wood with my Dremel tool and one thing led to another. The front became the back and vice versa.
